7. Do not put the flowers near ripened fruits as this will spoil the flowers sooner than expected.
8. Make sure that you remove all the leaves around the stem from the part that will be submerged in water. The leftover leaves submerged in water tend to rot inside the water and hence destroy the flowers.
9. All the vases or vessels used to keep your flowers must be cleaned properly to prevent any unwanted bacteria.
10. Make use of lukewarm water for cleaning and cutting the flowers (except a few water flowers that refer cold water)  because it has less oxygen in it.
